About the Instructors
Sensei means instructor or teacher.
Sensei and Master Leslie Ryan started taking karate lessons as a teenager and has been learning and teaching Karate for 40 years. He is a fifth degree black belt Master rank.
Belts and Rankings
Karate belts are achieved by mastering a certain level of karate technique and movements. They are not based on the length of time a student takes karate lessons. Promotions are held on an as needed basis and guest instructors are invited to witness the promotions. During promotion students are tested on those skills they most achieve before moving to their next belt.
